Job Title: HR Client Onboarding & Service Assistant
Location: Remote (U.S.-based; preference for GA, NC, SC, AL, FL)
Compensation: $45,000 – $55,000 (DOE)


About the Role

We’re hiring a detail-oriented HR Client Onboarding & Service Assistant to support our Human Resources team in delivering exceptional client onboarding and customer support. This role sits at the intersection of HR operations and client service, making it ideal for someone with experience in a PEO, staffing, or high-volume HR environment.

You’ll be responsible for managing new client employee onboarding, supporting payroll and compliance processes, and serving as a key liaison between our internal HR function and our external client contacts. If you thrive in a structured, fast-paced setting and love the challenge of coordinating across teams and systems, this role is for you.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate new employee onboarding for client accounts, including document collection, system setup, and orientation logistics

  • Partner with HR and Finance to prepare, review, and validate payroll data prior to submission

  • Maintain accurate employee records across HR platforms (e.g., Gusto, ADP, BambooHR)

  • Generate and distribute recurring and ad hoc reports from HRIS and payroll systems

  • Monitor and follow up on compliance tasks such as training completion, policy acknowledgment, and I-9 verification

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee and client inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, onboarding, and support requests

  • Support administrative tasks related to performance reviews, terminations, and internal HR initiatives

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a smooth, timely, and accurate experience for our clients and their employees


What You Bring

  • 2–4 years of experience in HR administration, onboarding, or client-facing HR support

  • PEO, staffing, or multi-client HR experience strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with payroll prep cycles and best practices for new hire onboarding

  • Experience working in systems such as Gusto, ADP, Paychex, or BambooHR

  • Excellent communication and follow-through in a client-facing context

  • High attention to detail, discretion, and organizational skill

  • A service mindset — responsive, solutions-oriented, and collaborative
