We’re hiring a Strategic HR Generalist in Physician Services to support a Chicago-based safety-net hospital. You’ll own the full HR lifecycle for employed and contracted physicians — from recruiting and onboarding to employee relations and engagement. You’ll be their first call for HR support, culture alignment, and leadership partnership.
What You’ll Do
- Lead full-cycle recruiting and onboarding for all physician roles
- Partner with the CMO and physician leaders to forecast staffing needs
- Drive engagement and retention initiatives specific to medical staff
- Serve as primary contact for all physician employee relations issues
- Manage investigations, corrective actions, and coaching conversations
- Collaborate with compliance and HRIS teams for accurate data and reporting
- Support compensation adjustments, contract renewals, and credentialing coordination
- Deliver consistent HR guidance rooted in compliance and culture
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field required
- 5+ years of HR experience, including recruiting and ER work in healthcare or physician settings
- Strong understanding of credentialing, contracts, and healthcare compliance
- Calm, diplomatic, and persuasive — able to advise leaders and physicians alike
